Agreement to Terms

Welcome to ATS Resume Optimizer ("we," "us," "our," or "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and tools.

ATS Resume Optimizer is a free, AI-powered tool that provides:

  • Resume analysis against job descriptions
  • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility scoring
  • Keyword optimization recommendations
  • Formatting and content improvement suggestions
  • Downloadable analysis reports
  • Educational content about resume optimization

1.2 Service Availability

We strive to provide continuous service availability, but we do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Specific response times or analysis speeds
  • That the Service will be available at all times
  • That stored reports will be available indefinitely

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice.

1.3 Service Limitations

To ensure fair usage for all users, we implement:

  • Rate Limits: Maximum 10 analyses per 15 minutes per IP address
  • File Size Limits: Maximum 10MB per file upload
  • Text Length Limits: Maximum 15,000 characters for resume, 8,000 for job description
  • Supported Formats: PDF, DOCX, TXT only

2. Acceptable Use Policy

2.1 Permitted Use

You are permitted to:

  • Use the Service for personal, non-commercial resume optimization
  • Analyze your own resumes and job descriptions
  • Download and save your analysis reports
  • Share your results with others (but not the Service itself)
  • Use the Service for career counseling or educational purposes

2.2 Prohibited Use

You are strictly prohibited from:

  • Automated Access: Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service
  • Abuse: Circumventing rate limits or security measures
  • Commercial Resale: Reselling or redistributing the Service
  • Reverse Engineering: Attempting to copy, modify, or reverse engineer our AI algorithms
  • Malicious Content: Uploading malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Illegal Activity: Using the Service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
  • Harassment: Using the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • False Information: Submitting intentionally false or misleading resume content

Violation Consequences

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your access to the Service, IP blocking, and potential legal action. We reserve the right to report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

3.1 Our Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service (including but not limited to):

  • Website design, text, graphics, and logos
  • AI algorithms and analysis methodologies
  • Software code and database structure
  • Educational content and blog articles
  • Trademarks and service marks

3.2 Your Content Ownership

📝 Limited License to Us

By uploading content, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process your resume for analysis purposes only. This license expires immediately after analysis is complete and your content is deleted from our servers.

3.3 Analysis Report Rights

The analysis reports generated by our Service contain:

  • Your Content: Owned by you
  • Our Analysis: Owned by us but licensed to you for personal use

You may download, save, and use the reports for personal career purposes, but you may not:

  • Resell or redistribute the analysis methodology
  • Claim the analysis framework as your own intellectual property
  • Use the reports for commercial purposes without permission

4. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

4.2 No Employment Guarantee

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT USING OUR SERVICE WILL RESULT IN:

  • Job interviews, offers, or employment
  • Passing ATS systems or recruiter screening
  • Increased salary or career advancement
  • Any specific career outcome or benefit

4.3 AI Limitations

Our AI-powered analysis is provided for informational and educational purposes only. AI systems are not perfect and may produce errors, biases, or inaccuracies. You should:

  • Review all recommendations critically
  • Verify accuracy before implementing suggestions
  • Consult professional career advisors for important decisions
  • Not rely solely on our analysis for career planning

4.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

IN NO EVENT SHALL ATS RESUME OPTIMIZER, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR:

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (WHICHEVER IS GREATER).

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content. We are not responsible for and do not endorse or assume any responsibility for any such third-party content, sites, products, or services.

5. User Responsibilities

    Backup: Creating backups of your resume and reports. We are not responsible for loss of data stored in your browser's local storage.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ATS Resume Optimizer, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • False, misleading, or fraudulent resume content you submit
  • Any content you upload to the Service
